Default Texture problems

When running the game on my pc some of the character textures don't appear to display properly. They appear pail and washed out. I have tried changing the texture quality but this has no affect.
This problem only seems to affect player armour, on both myself and other players in towns and outposts, however it dose not seem to affect the characters face or skin and although present most of the time dose not always occur. It will occasional go away on other characters when they are highlighted.
I am able to run the game with the rest of the setting turned up, and a friend with a similar spec PC dose not have the same problem.
The PC I am running the game on is has: P4 processor, 512mg Ram, G-force 5200FX PCI compatible.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
